
Optimising systemic controls for the prevention of child sexual abuse in soccer in Australia.
Karl Dodd is a current PhD Candidate, undertaking his thesis on “Optimising systemic controls for the prevention of child sexual abuse in soccer in Australia”. Karl has been an adjunct at the University of Sunshine Coast(UniSC) since 2019 and has collaborated in numerous research projects with the centre. Karl has a background as a professional soccer player and a coach for over 22 years both domestically and internationally. Karl also has a background in Exercise Science (MExerSc (S&C), BHMSc (Psych)) and holds a Professional Diploma in coaching in soccer.
Research areas: performance analysis, exercise science, and extending system ergonomics methods into sporting domains and coaching science.
