Forecasting system safety performance.
Elizabeth is a PhD student with the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems, investigating the development of systems-level leading indicators for safety critical systems such as transport under the supervision of Associate Professor Gemma Read and Professor Paul Salmon.
Her research project will apply systems methods to the identification of potential leading indicators in the rail transport industry with the goal of developing a systems-level leading indicator framework.
Elizabeth graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Science (Hons Psychology) and later a Master of Applied Psychology (Occupational). Elizabeth has enjoyed a career in Human Factors (HF) research in road safety and defence and as a HF practitioner in a range of industries including: software development, retail & financial sales, oil and gas, food manufacturing, health & safety, safety regulation and the transport industries.
