2022 Research Symposium

Innovations in Human Factors and Ergonomics, 2022

Join us, September 15-16, 2022, for our annual Centre Symposium. University of the Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs, Queensland. This will be held as an in-person event in 2022.

The Symposium will host world leading international and national presentations in Human Factors and Safety Science. Our speakers include Professor Paul Salmon, Associate Professor Robyn Clay-Williams from Macquarie University and Associate Professor Gemma Read.

Day 1 – Thursday 15th September

Presentations from leading international and national experts on the latest innovations in HFE in areas such as healthcare, transport safety, workplace safety, defence, and land use planning and urban design. A specific focus will be on new innovations in HFE and how these can be translated in practice to optimise health, well-being, and performance. Full Conference dinner will conclude the first day (included in Full Conference and Symposium ticket).

Day 2 – Friday 16th September
Workshops will provide expert guidance, training and resources in a range of core HFE and Safety Science methods, including AcciMap, Causal Loop Diagrams, the Networked Hazard Analysis and Risk Management System (Net-HARMS) and Work Domain Analysis. An introductory workshop on Human Factors and Ergonomics will also be provided along with a workshop on contemporary issues in Human Factors and Ergonomics.
