Karl is a Research Assistant at the Centre of Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems and is currently involved in a project developing a systems thinking-based incident reporting tool for elite athletes in Australia in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).
Karl has worked as an adjunct at the Centre since 2019 and has over 22 years working in professional sport. Karl has worked at national and international level in football and holds a Bachelor of Human Movement Science (Psychology), Master of Exercise Science (S&C), and the highest coaching accreditation in football, the Pro-license.
Karl is a PhD student at the Centre investigating ways to optimise systemic controls to enhance the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse in Sport in Australia.
