Lauren joined USC in 2013 to study a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and Psychology (Hons).  She completed her honours thesis under the supervision of Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems where she gained an appreciation for Systems Thinking methods.

Lauren now works as a research assistant where she enjoys being involved in the innovative research projects conducted by the centre.

Role

  • supports the development and implementation of an online, sector-wide incident reporting system (UPLOADS)
  • conducts qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and reports data via journal articles, project reports, informational posters, and presentations at industry related conferences
  • maintains research project websites and social media sites
  • ensures research is conducted in line with the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the university’s policies and procedures.
